The drive

This is the long diagonal across coastal Montenegro: through the Sozina toll tunnel to Budva, along the Riviera, over into the Bay of Kotor and finally across the bay’s narrowest point on the Kamenari–Lepetane ferry. Close to two hours — but two hours of tunnels, ridgelines, fjord views and a mini sea crossing, door to door, with tolls and ferry included in the fixed price. Far simpler than any bus combination with luggage.

The ferry runs around the clock, and your driver knows when it’s quicker to queue and when to swing around the inner bay through Kotor and Risan instead — either way the price never changes.
