When to leave Kotor for your flight
This is the shortest airport taxi run in the country, and the timing reflects it: two hours before departure is generous, with about twenty minutes of it spent driving. Anything less than ninety minutes starts to depend on luck, and Tivat’s small terminal is exactly the sort of place where one late bus of passengers turns a five-minute check-in queue into a twenty-minute one. We still recommend leaving early: in summer the Vrmac tunnel can get very crowded. Our drivers know the alternatives and will take another route when needed — at the same fixed price.
The one local variable is cruise mornings. When a ship is alongside, the Kotor waterfront road carries coaches, taxis and several thousand people who all want to move at once, and the first kilometre of your drive slows to walking pace. If your flight falls on a ship day we simply add fifteen minutes to the pickup. Your driver checks the road and the port before setting off, and if it looks bad he calls you and comes a little earlier rather than arriving on time into a jam.
Where we pick you up in Kotor

Inside the Old Town nothing on wheels can reach you, so your driver waits at the gate nearest your accommodation — the Sea Gate on the waterfront for most hotels and apartments, the River Gate at the northern end by the Škurda, or the Gurdić Gate to the south. The drive to Tivat Airport
Out of Kotor the road runs along the water, then climbs briefly to the Vrmac tunnel, which burrows under the ridge separating the Bay of Kotor from Tivat. You come out with the Tivat side of the bay below, and a few minutes later the terminal is on your left. Twelve kilometres, about twenty minutes, and the €49 stays the same whether the road is empty at dawn or full at midday.

Your driver pulls up at the departures door and unloads there — the walk from kerb to check-in is measured in steps rather than minutes. Tivat has a single small terminal, so there is nothing to choose and no shuttle to catch, but when several flights depart in the same hour the hall does fill up. When check-in opens is set by your airline, not the airport, so follow your ticket or airline app; if you want to be there as the desk opens, say so and we will set the pickup accordingly.

Yes, and the fixed price is the same at 4 am as at 4 pm. Early departures are routine on this route; book the day before at the latest and your driver confirms the pickup time with you, which is the one thing a dawn street taxi cannot promise.
Do you pick up from the Kotor cruise port?
Yes. The cruise terminal is on the waterfront right beside the Sea Gate. Book Kotor to Tivat Airport, add the ship's name and your disembarkation time in the notes, and the driver meets you at the terminal exit with a name sign.
Can you collect me from Dobrota, Muo, Prčanj or Škaljari?
Yes — the villages strung along the bay around Kotor are covered by the same route at the same fixed price, picked up at the door. Just put the exact address in the booking. Perast and Risan are further up the bay and quoted separately.
Do you need my flight number if I am flying out?
It is optional but helpful. With the flight number your driver can spot a schedule change before you do and adjust the pickup; without it we simply work from the pickup time you choose when booking.
What if my departure is delayed or cancelled?
Your driver is local. If your flight is delayed by a few hours, they'll happily recommend where to spend the time nearby; if it's pushed to the next day, they'll suggest good accommodation close to the airport for the night — and a transfer back to the terminal is the same fixed price.
